Description

The Schneider Electric EZC100N3100 is a 100A 3-pole 3D MCCB from the EasyPact EZC100N range, designed for reliable protection of low-voltage electrical distribution systems. This Schneider 100A MCCB features a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit that provides protection against both overload and short-circuit conditions.

The EasyPact EZC100N3100 MCCB has a 3P 3D configuration, meaning all three poles are protected. It is designed primarily for AC distribution networks operating at 50/60Hz, with a rated current of 100A. The circuit breaker supports a maximum rated operational voltage of 550V AC and a rated insulation voltage of 690V AC.

For installations operating at 400/415V AC, the EZC100N3100 provides an ultimate breaking capacity (Icu) of 15kA according to IEC 60947-2. The breaking capacity increases to 18kA at 380V AC, while the specified Icu is 10kA at 440V AC. At 220–240V AC, the breaker provides up to 25kA Icu. This makes the Schneider EZC100N3100 100A MCCB suitable for a range of low-voltage distribution applications where the prospective short-circuit current is within the specified limits.

The TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit combines thermal overload protection and magnetic short-circuit protection in a compact MCCB design. The trip unit is rated at 100A at 50°C, while Schneider documentation specifies the device’s rated current as 100A under the applicable temperature conditions.

The EasyPact EZC100N 100A circuit breaker is a fixed-mount MCCB with backplate mounting, front connections and toggle operation. It also provides positive contact indication and is suitable for isolation according to IEC 60947-2. The compact design makes it suitable for installation in electrical distribution boards, switchboards and industrial control panels.

The EZC100N3100 has a rated insulation voltage of 690V AC, rated impulse withstand voltage of 6kV, and an operational voltage of up to 550V AC. The breaker is classified as Category A and has a pollution degree of 3, making it suitable for appropriately designed low-voltage electrical installations.

The Schneider Electric EZC100N3100 is therefore a practical solution for 100A feeder protection, distribution boards, commercial buildings, industrial electrical panels and low-voltage power distribution systems where thermal overload and short-circuit protection are required.

Lifecycle note: Schneider’s regional websites currently show different lifecycle information. Schneider Brazil lists the EZC100N3100 as discontinued on 31 May 2026, with standard service ending 30 June 2026, and states that it has not been replaced.
