Description

The Schneider Electric EZC100N3063 is a 63A 3-pole 3D MCCB from the EasyPact EZC100N range, designed for protection and isolation in low-voltage electrical distribution systems. This Schneider 63A MCCB uses a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit to provide protection against electrical overloads and short-circuit faults. Schneider Electric identifies EZC100N3063 as an EasyPact EZC100N, 63A, 3-pole 3D circuit breaker.

The EasyPact EZC100N3063 MCCB has a 3P 3D configuration, with all three poles protected. It is suitable for AC and DC networks, with a network frequency of 50/60Hz for AC applications. The circuit breaker has a 63A rated current at 40°C, a 690V AC rated insulation voltage, and a maximum rated operational voltage of 550V AC. It is also specified for 250V DC operation under IEC 60947-2.

For standard 400/415V AC distribution, the EZC100N3063 provides an ultimate breaking capacity (Icu) of 15kA at 415V AC. Its Icu is 18kA at 380–400V AC, 10kA at 440V AC, and 25kA at 110–130V AC and 220–240V AC. At higher voltage levels, the specified Icu is 5kA at 550V AC. These ratings allow the Schneider EZC100N3063 63A MCCB to be selected according to the prospective short-circuit current of the installation.

The TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit combines thermal overload protection with magnetic short-circuit protection. The trip unit rating is 63A at 50°C, while the breaker itself has a rated current of 63A at 40°C according to the product data. This combination provides straightforward protection for feeders and distribution circuits without requiring an electronic trip unit.

The EasyPact EZC100N 63A circuit breaker is a fixed MCCB with backplate mounting, front connections and toggle operation. It provides positive contact indication and is suitable for electrical isolation according to IEC 60947-2. Its compact dimensions of approximately 75mm wide × 130mm high × 60mm deep make it suitable for electrical panels and distribution boards where installation space is important.

The EZC100N3063 has a 6kV rated impulse withstand voltage (Uimp) and is classified as Category A. The breaker has a 25mm connection pitch, pollution degree 3, and a fixed construction intended for distribution applications. Schneider’s product information also identifies the EasyPact EZC100N range as a compact solution for standard industrial and building distribution applications.

For applications requiring a 63A 3-phase MCCB, the Schneider Electric EZC100N3063 offers a combination of thermal-magnetic protection, 15kA breaking capacity at 415V AC, compact dimensions and IEC 60947-2 compliance. It can be used for feeder protection, distribution boards, industrial panels, commercial electrical systems and low-voltage power distribution.
