Description
The Schneider Electric 33479 ComPact NS1250H is a high-performance 1250A 3-pole circuit breaker designed for protection and control of low-voltage electrical distribution systems. This fixed 3P 3D circuit breaker features an electronic MicroLogic 2.0 trip unit with LI protection functions and a 70kA breaking capacity at 380/415V AC, making it suitable for demanding industrial and commercial power-distribution applications.
The ComPact NS1250H 1250A circuit breaker is rated for operation on 50/60Hz AC systems with a rated operational voltage of up to 690V AC. Its 1250A rated current is specified at 50°C, while the electronic MicroLogic 2.0 trip unit provides adjustable long-time and instantaneous protection for electrical distribution circuits.
The MicroLogic 2.0 electronic trip unit provides LI protection, combining long-time overload protection with instantaneous short-circuit protection. The long-time pickup can be adjusted from 0.4 to 1 × In, while the instantaneous pickup is adjustable from 1.5 to 10 × Ir, allowing the breaker to be configured according to the requirements of the protected installation.
With an Icu of 70kA at 380/415V AC, the 33479 NS1250H circuit breaker provides high short-circuit interruption capability for high-current distribution systems. The breaker also offers 65kA Icu at 440V AC, 50kA at 500/525V AC, and 42kA at 660/690V AC, according to the product technical data.
The breaker has a Category B utilisation classification and supports isolation according to IEC/EN 60947-2. Its 8kV rated impulse withstand voltage and 800V insulation voltage provide the insulation characteristics required for demanding low-voltage switchboard applications.
The ComPact NS1250H 33479 uses a fixed mounting configuration with front connections and can be operated using a rotary handle or toggle depending on configuration. It also provides positive contact indication and supports a range of ComPact NS accessories for switchboard integration.
Lifecycle note: Schneider Electric lists reference 33479 as discontinued from 30 September 2024. Schneider’s current India product page identifies C125H320FM as the recommended replacement, providing the same 1250A, 3P, 70kA at 415V AC and MicroLogic 2.0 configuration in the newer ComPacT NS platform.
