Description

The Schneider Electric LC1E400M7 EasyPact TVS Contactor is a high-capacity three-pole contactor designed for reliable switching and control of motors and resistive loads in low-voltage electrical installations.

Rated at 400A for AC-3 applications at up to 440V AC, the LC1E400M7 is suitable for demanding three-phase motor-control applications. Its power circuit supports rated operational voltages up to 690V AC at 50/60Hz, providing flexibility for a wide range of industrial electrical systems.

The contactor features a 3P configuration with 3 normally open (3NO) main contacts and uses a 220V AC control coil operating at 50/60Hz. This configuration makes it suitable for integration into motor starters, control panels, industrial machinery, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors and other high-current switching applications.

The LC1E400M7 also supports AC-3e applications with a rated current of 330A at ≤440V AC, while its AC-1 rating reaches 500A at ≤440V AC under the specified temperature conditions. Its conventional free-air thermal current is 500A at 40°C.

For motor applications, the contactor can handle motor powers up to 250kW at 440V AC, with ratings extending to 280kW at 660–690V AC under the specified operating conditions. It is therefore well suited to high-power industrial motor-control systems.

The LC1E400M7 provides an 8kV rated impulse withstand voltage, 690V rated insulation voltage, and a rated short-time withstand current of 3600A for 10 seconds at 40°C. Its rated making capacity is 4000A at 440V AC, while the rated breaking capacity is 3200A at 440V.

Designed for long-term operation, the contactor has a mechanical durability of approximately 4 million cycles, with electrical durability of up to 600,000 cycles in AC-3 and 250,000 cycles in AC-1 under specified conditions.

The LC1E400M7 operates within an ambient temperature range of approximately -5°C to +55°C and has an IP2x level of protection conforming to IEC 60529 as listed by Farado Engineering.
